Autism Kids’ 3rd Annual Neurodiversity Pride Day Festival
Our annual festival is a time of celebration and advocacy where we embrace differences and the Neurodiversity Movement.
Community
We know that Autism affects all children regardless of who they are. We believe supporting intersectional Autistic groups is important, so we team up with local groups that are historically underrepresented to bring forth everyone’s lived experiences.
We also engage actively with community leaders to affect positive change in the way Autistic children are represented and celebrated in our great city.
Autism is a Neurotype -
We Need Acceptance, Not a Cure.
Autism Kids is led by Rebecca Tarrant, the Neurodivergent mother of a minimally-speaking Autistic child. The Board of Directors is made up of Neurodivergent, Neurotypical and Autistic members. Our unique perspectives blend together in a way that allows us to present fresh ideas and new forms of advocacy that benefit both Autistic children and the larger Neurodiversity Movement.
We rely on the lived experiences of Autistic adults to help shape our policies and actions.
